How to get cited by ChatGPT, Perplexity and other AI search engines
No tool controls what ChatGPT, Perplexity or Gemini cite, but you can make your content easy to read, verify and attribute: text in the initial HTML, claims tied to sources, correct structured data, clear authorship and open crawlers. Naito delivers much of that in the articles it generates.
Who it's for
Any site that wants to be found and cited in AI search answers, from blogs to portals and companies.
Who it's not for
Anyone expecting a guarantee of citation. No one can promise that; what you control is the quality and legibility of what you publish.
How to do it with Naito
Publish verifiable claims
Every claim Naito generates is tied to the exact source sentence that backs it. In WordPress, a sources section with the literal passages goes at the end of the post, collapsed for the reader but present in the HTML from the first load, visible to crawlers that don't run JavaScript.
Deliver correct structured data
Every article ships with NewsArticle JSON-LD (headline, image, dates and your brand as author), and sponsored content uses AdvertiserContentArticle. The article's questions and answers also travel in the payload.
Show who writes and what only you know
On plans from Professional up, a named author with title and short bio goes into the JSON-LD. On plans from Essential up, the facts bank adds numbers and details only your business knows.
Open the crawlers and keep content alive
Check that your site's robots.txt doesn't block AI crawlers such as GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot, and consider publishing an llms.txt. Naito doesn't change your site's robots.txt. For content meant to last, periodic freshness checks on on-demand evergreen articles are on plans from Professional up.
Why it works better this way
Extractable passages, not loose paragraphs
Each article carries a summary, key points and answered questions, the format AI assistants can cite precisely.
Credibility you can check
Citing well requires being able to verify. The claim-to-source link turns the article into something you and a reader can check.
Clear attribution
Brand authorship, a named author and structured data tell machines and people who is behind the text.
Frequently asked questions
Common questions about this guide
Can I guarantee my site will be cited?
No. No tool guarantees citation by ChatGPT, Perplexity or Gemini. What you can do is publish verifiable, well-structured, easy-to-crawl content.
Does Naito change my site's robots.txt or llms.txt?
No. Those files belong to your site. Naito delivers the articles; checking which crawlers you allow is your task.
Does the JSON-LD need an SEO plugin?
The article arrives with the JSON-LD ready in the payload, and Naito's WordPress plugin publishes it on the page. If you use another SEO plugin, check that it doesn't duplicate it.
Why is the sources section collapsed?
To keep reading clean. It uses the native collapse element of HTML, so the content is in the code from the start and crawlers can read it.
